Qualifications
Private home care provider registered nurses must have a current license to practice as a registered nurse with two years of experience in home health, geriatrics, long-term care, or a related field. One year of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred. Preference should be given to individuals with home care experience.
Knowledge of current methods of home management, the provision of personal care, the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of others, to evaluate situations and make decisions, and to communicate and deal effectively with others
Working knowledge of DCH/HFRD Rules and Regulations for Private Home Care Providers.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse shall supervise the personal care, companion/sitter services, and nursing services offered by the agency. The RN will be the primary supervisor of all medical staff and review or prepare reports for the client’s physician. The RN shall supervise the provision of personal care tasks in accordance with accepted standards of care. The RN shall be responsible for medically frail clients which include elderly, cancer patients, and other ailments define the client as medically frail
